We’re all about making delicious foods that nourish the body. Whether it’s the ground our crops grow on or the kids sitting down at the breakfast table, we’re working to create a healthy, sustainable future.

Our roots are on the family farm

We use pulse crops from the prairies of Montana as the building blocks for every Trutana product. Fed by Big Sky sunshine and rainfall, then nurtured by farmers, pulses flourish in the region.

The pulses that are the base that we build from are only possible because of the farmers that grow them. They’re men and women we know well. Whether it’s on a dusty backroad, at a tailgate before a game, or at the local grocery store, we run into them because we started as farmers ourselves.

These family farmers are constantly adapting to produce crops that require fewer inputs like fuel and fertilizer. Producing dryland crops successfully—fed only by rainwater and not irrigation—requires an acute attention to stewardship and conservation of the environment. It’s a way to create healthy soil, abundant harvests, and keep the family farm running for generations to come. We’re proud to help put their hard work on your table.
